Not exactly sure. I've heard the "war hammer" tune mentioned so many times that it's hard to imagine it can only be run on a Spartan tuner.

Pretty sure Spartan only tunes Spartan

On another note, in the mean time, If I just want to play around with the canned tunes on it, is there anything I need to do or is it plug and play? I had a friend hide the wires behind my dash, and he was asking about a usb drive that was in the box, Whats this for?

Oh interesting. I wonder if there are seperate custom tunes for Spartan. What do you mean by play around with the canned tunes? Try them all out or try to MCC tune them yourself? The USB is used to integrate your Mini Maxx's SD card to your computer in order to update your tuner or upload/download tuning files. You should probably update your Mini Maxx with this method.

So, got a chance to try out the canned DPF on tunes, pretty impressed with the noticeable throttle increase and power increase. Only thing I couldn't figure out, I went to a back road that was flat and no one around, twice I completely disabled traction control, and the truck wouldn't let me do a burnout, the first time I probably was at 15psi and the the front end started to hop, so I backed off, second time, I built more boost and it pushed through the brakes, I was pushing down really hard on the brake pedal and it just started moving forward like I wasn't pushing on the pedal. Whats up?

ironically, dpf off only gains about 30-40 horse.. its not a large jump in power, but a huge gain in reliability.

I've never tried a burn out before. It doesn't seem like it would be good for the truck. I want to try it at least once though, preferably on video.

It was easy in my 6.0 & 6.4, so not really sure what the problem is.
