Coil-Overs?

I want to convert to a coil-over setup and I need some help with choosing the right ones. I'm leaning towards Fabtech's Dirt Logic 4.0's at the moment because they seem like the biggest and baddest, but I'm reading mixed reviews. I assume that coil-overs are top of the line? They sure look nice..,

Hopefully ocveloman comments in here as I'm curious as well. But honestly from what I've heard the fabtech 4.0 coilover isn't the greatest. I've ridden in a superduty with them and it was nice don't get me wrong, but wasn't quite what I was expecting, especially for that kind of money. I did however ride in a jeep with a dirt logic coil over set up and I was rather impressed so....

Yep. I'm definitely looking to go 8 inches on the lift. I'm not excited about the 4.0 Dirt Logic price, but I'm looking for some closure with my truck. I think an 8 inch lift + 38x15.5 inch tires seems to be the end of the road and I want to do it right. I haven't looked into Icon's coil-overs yet. If they're cheaper, I will definitely consider them.

I see a price of $1,784 for the Icon coil-overs...

61700 - 2005 - Current Super Duty F250 / F350 7" - 9" Lift Coil-over Shock Kit - ICON Vehicle Dynamics

I'm assuming the Icon's are direct bolt-on and they don't need a conversion mount like the Fabtech's. It's hard to believe that a 2.5 coil-over performs better than a 4.0 coil-over? I'm looking for the smoothest ride...

I have the dirt logic 4.0 conversion. LOVE them. Had a '12 with a 6" went with the fabtech 8" on my '14. Smoothest ride up front I've ever felt. Carli included.
