2014 Question

I'm looking in getting a 2014 and the main reason is that I'm wanting to delete which I currently can't do on my 2013 Cummins. Is it still possible to delete on the 2014's and what do I need? Tuner and straight pipe? Any jumpers for the sensors? What are you guys doing with the DEF?

Thanks, first post by the way.

to be honest, i'd hold off on getting a 2014 psd. there have been some around that go in because of a miss, then the tech will take it out to test drive it and they caught on fire. one guy had a computer hooked up to it, because they aren't showing any codes and while he was driving he saw smoke coming from under the hood. he pulled over, popped the hood and there were flames. Granted its only happened to about 5 or so around here, but that's enough to scare me until they get it figured out

Welcome!

You can delete your 2014 with an H&S Mini-Maxx
You will need a DPF delete pipe (no Bungs)- With or without a muffler (I use a muffler)
No jumpers required, just unplug all the sensors in the DPF from the wiring harness (simple)
You can leave the DEF in the tank, siphon it out or remove the tank.
Contact Rudy's Diesel Performance (a supporting Vendor). They will fix you up.

In response to the Post about "Fires" on the 2014 models: I'm friends with the Service Managers @ two local Ford Dealerships and of the hundreds of 2014's that they've sold, they haven't seen any "Fires".

This is the first I've ever seen about 14's being rolling torches also. Have all 5 of them been on your local area or is that nation wide?

This is how crazy rumors get started. Your gonna hear about this **** on the news all day tomorrow now!! "Ford recalls every superduty ever produced because they are ticking time bombs unfit for public streets!"

OP go ahead and pick up a 14 you will love it. Better yet save some dollars if your lucky enough to find some left over 13s on a lot. If you just won the lotto hold out for a 15 they are gonna be stout!

Ha i feel ya on that i got rid of my 12 Ram for a 13 PSD because you couldn't delete the 13 Ram, you can take just about everything out and if you dont want your SCR system take that out too !! my tank is gone all my lines are gone my tank shroud is gone and everything works fantastically id say a deleted 6.7 is almost as reliable as a 7.3 hence the 7.3 badges on the side of my truck

Maybe he was talking about the 2014 Escape/Fusion. They actually have a recall for this. Nothing on the Powerstroke though.
