Where do I Go to Delete?

Ok finally decided I am ready to pull the trigger and delete, and after reading plenty on this board and others I am still a little confused. Wanted to see if anyone can offer their input here or via pm. I have a 2011, and I have found some H&S dealers that are selling the mini-max with the delete option built in. Since H&S isn't allowed to offer this b/c of EPA issues, am I correct that it is the dealer who is hacking these units to allow the delete? If so, are all these dealer delete tunes the same? Or is there one that is better/safer? Also the market price for the mini max seems to be about $1700, is there a cheaper option? One last question, if I was to find a legit mini max model 109003, will H&S still give out the delete unlock code for these units today (I realize the $100 price for the code).

Thanks for any feedback.

I think if you found a legit Mini Maxx #109003, it should already be delete capable and the $100 fee is to unlock tuning for the 6.7L Powerstroke in general. Since you own a 2011, I would look into finding an original Mini Maxx #109003 as I imagine you may find one for cheaper than these hacked tuners that run for about $1700, like you said.

Look around on craigslist or eBay for a used XRT Pro (#109006) but be sure it isn't vin locked. Pair that with an Edge Insight if you want gauges and that'll save you a few hundred.

Yes, H&S will still sell you the unlock code for the MiniMaxx #109003 and the XRT Pro #109006.
