Full Egr delete or plates?

I'm in the process of throwing a mini maxx race on my rig. I have a 4" flo pro, s&b CAI and h&s egr delete kit to go with it. The place I bought it said it would be wise to not do the full egr delete in case I needed a warranty claim. Once I'm out of warranty I could do the full delete.

My question is do I just install the two smaller plates and leave the rest? The instructions on the full delete are pretty involved so I want to make sure I get it right the first time!

What is the difference of using the plates and/or full egr delete or just unhooking a couple wiring harnesses per the instructions in the mini maxx manual?
Is any one way better or safer on the engine ?

Do the full kit man my 13 is my 3rd deleted truck and once you get all that crap off you wont need the warranty unless your hot rodding it w/40lbs of boost. Just keep all your factory stuff, the EGR system really isnt that hard to put back on a pinch. if nothing else it cleans up the engine bay realllly nice

I think with the Tuner, 8" lift, 38's, air intake, and exhaust, you probably won't have too much of an argument if they want to void your warranty, EGR or not.

Haha I see your point but not necessarily. My ford dealer put the lift in and it did not void my power train warranty. The exhaust and air box could be put back in easier than the full egr delete. Which was the basis of my question, what is the advantage of the full egr delete?

I just deleted a few weeks back and as of now, only have unplugged the EGR. I would like to get the EGR's displayed more than anything now. Input on this as well please. Not intending to hijack your thread, just more EGR info.

No prob. One thing I noticed is that my blocker plates, one has a threaded hole for a sensor. Looks like your supposed to use one from the exhaust. I'm gonna do the full delete.

I deleted the egr on my 12 and now have a 13 and this time I am going to just leave it on and do the plates. Reason being if something does go crazy it takes less time to put back to stock. Then once you run out of warranty you can take the egr off.

I finally did my truck yesterday. Mini maxx, exhaust and egr plates. Didn't do the full egr delete and couldn't be happier. Snapped the head off a bolt down at the bottom of the egr pipe. Sucked. Took an hour just to get those two bolts out. Other than that it all went smooth and truck is doing fine.
