2012 computer with programmer

I have heard that if you run a programmer and run the deletes on a 2012 with the 6.7 that after you take it off, the dealer can tell if there has been a programmer on the truck. Is this true? My truck has 18K and I'm wanting to do some stuff to it but warranty isn't up until 100K

Im sure there is always i way to tell and even if the programmer doesnt leave any tracks in the ECU, there will be signs on all the things you touch in the engine bay and underneath i have been a tech for ten years and a good tech can tell if an exhaust system has just been taken off . On another note i would just find a delete friendly dealer . Most delete friendly dealers with look at your truck give a good WOT and if it plooms smoke they will deny you if it doesnt ploom they will service your truck reguardless. We have a few of em out west and thats what they all say.

Ok thanks, I'll have to check them out around here. I just want to run an exhausts air intake and a nice programmer on an Econ mode and turn it to tow sometimes.
