Filtration

What's the consensus on the 6.7 filter setup? I'm trying to set my truck up for long term reliability, is a FASS or Air dog warranted on a deleted truck or stick with factory setup? What do you guys think? Does the FASS system with filter and water separator delete both factory filters or just the one on the frame rail? I'm planning on keeping my factory turbo, (unless it lets go), so doubtful if I will need more fuel, just want adequate filtration. Thanks

I use a AFE Progaurd seven it's a seven layer filter with amazing filtration without oil obviously but still good flow. Also sounds cool too.

I wonder the same thing. I've heard a few stories of water or contamination destroying fuel systems. The ADII has a 2 micron filter as does the Fass. I'm not sure what the how complex the stock lift pump is or what the micron rating is on the secondary filter.

I think Fords OE setup is plenty fine, but that is just me.

Looks like one rock away from disaster. lol Other than that, there is no such thing as too clean of fuel.

I think I will cheerfully disagree with you on this one...if the factory filtration did it's job we wouldn't be hearing about WIF and rust in the system taking out the HPFP and everything downstream from it in worst case scenarios.

I called dieselsite and talked to Bob, (I believe owner and also runs the setup on his 2011), real nice guy and answered all my questions...after that conversation decided to order his filter kit.
