S&B intake question.

Was wondering what everyone was doin with the optional plug on the side. In or out? And also just came across thread about taking cover off. Debating on that as well. But clear top sure does make it look better. Mpg is all I'm worried bout really

been so long since I put mine I on im not sure what plug your talking about...I run my top on.

5" Flo Pro w/muffler, SDP downpipe, Sinister EGR delete, S&B intake, H&S mini maxx w/ SPE HotX, H&S intercooler pipe, MPD CCV Mod, Top Gun Customz 6" Lift, TGC dual steering stabilizer w/ night hawk shocks, TGC ladder bars, Night hawk 2.65 resi shocks, BMF rehab 20x9 rims with 5" backspacing (0 offset), Nitto Trail Grappler 37x12.50x20 tires, SSBC calipers w/Big Bite rotors front & rear, SPE metal oil pan upgrade & full diff lock, Mag-hytech dif cover, Deezee headache rack, Bushwacker fender flares & shocker 540 train horns.

Anybody got a pic of this plug everyone is talking about....I don't see any plug on my S&B

Its the optional piece made of rubber that is directly under the inlet pipe on the intake box. You can pop it in or leave it off when you assemble the box.

Did S&B add this to the newer kits? I bought mine like 2 years ago and it doesn't have this rubber thing that is apparently removable??? A lot of us just took the lid off which gave us more air and slightly better fuel mileage.

I';m pretty sure its a new update. I was surprised to see it when I opened the box. I think S&B are the only ones offering that option right now.

well that explains why i cant find this plug...I have an older model...I think I may give this lid off setup a try
