Looking at a AFE Intake

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I have a few questions.. Is a intake setup really worth it on these trucks?? I'm not new to modding, but I mod Mustangs and I know that they don't do jack on a Mustang.. But with this being a turbo setup opening up the intake is always a good thing.. I just don't know if it's worth it or not..

I've been lurking since I bought the truck and did a ton of searches but nothing was really mentioned on if it's a worth wild mod for a stock truck. The plan when the warrenty is up, or maybe sooner, to delete and tune the truck, but for right now the only plan is a DPF back exhaust and a intake..

Thoughts??

Thanks in advance

I have an S&B in take. I think it is worth it. I can hear the engine a little more, and I can hear the turbo if my window is down. I recently left the clear plexi top off, and I can hear more of the turbo, and I build boost a little faster. But, no I didn't turn this thing into a race truck.

Bottom line, I like the intake for increase engine intake sound, and turbo whistle. And I like the fact that the truck still sounds stock windows up cruising.

Thanks for the feed back. I'm not expecting it to turn into a race truck.. Just wondering if how you guys like it.. Any improvement with MPG or seat of the pants feel in terms of power? Or not so much?

without tuning it wont do much... you will be able to hear the turbo more and you man or may not get more MPG... but i highly doubt it...
