3k miles deleted, currently stranded!

Since I'm currently waiting on a tow I figured I'd post up. My truck is an '11 with 91,400 miles. Zero problems until this point. Finally talked myself into deleting the truck @ 88,700 even though I have a 200k mile engine warranty. Installed 5" DP back exhaust w/ muffler, intake, egr blocker plates, and h&s street tuner with Hot-x MCC tuning.
Took my 9 y/o daughter to the FSU game, as we were just getting out of town, still in heavy traffic, I heard a pop and had a ton of smoke behind me. I drive like a Grandma and the tuner was on the stock setting, knowing about all the turbo problems I have definitely been easy on her.
Needless to say, this sucks and all these parts will be for sale very soon. Also sucks sitting here in a parking lot in the 91 sun waiting on my wife, we live 2 hrs away, at least we can watch movies I guess.

Lesson to be learned, if you are like me and have been sitting on the fence about deleting for a while like I was, the better MPG's and cool sounding truck were nice but at this moment definitely not worth it.

Sorry about your bad luck, but I doubt that is what killed your turbo, they suck from the factory and can go at anytime even on a stock truck.

That's the problem right there! You babied it! I've been tuned and deleted for around 140k no issues. And I drive the piss out of it. You just had a bad part. Get it fixed and keep all the delete stuff. What would you be saying if it blew when you were still stock.

I had the same thing happen but it wasn't the turbo. Did you make sure the plastic boot to the inter cooler didn't blow $140 fix and takes 5 minute and fairly common problem

Yes it's on top hard to miss right by the grille it's caused from heat and the plastic getting brittle.
