H&S Mini Max witch one

I have been reading on this forum for a log time and learned a lot.But i am confused in the different tuners for deleting .

one of the vendors tuners requires a VIN# but the another does not. I don't want to buy the wrong one. Any help in determining the differences would be appreciated also the pre loaded programs are fine so do I need the MCC unlock

My truck is a stock 2011 F350 at this time. Thanks for any help

if you're getting an h&s then you need to make sure you get the offroad race tuner, not the newer street tuner.

the race tuner has the delete tunes. you will have to have your vin number to lock the tuner to your truck. the preloaded tunes are fine for most people. you only need the mcc if you want some custom tunes made by other people.

Snyder performance told me they didn't need my VIN and the h&s mini max would have a delete setting option . sounds like I better not get this one

I just bought a new mimimax, I did not need to have a vin,or anything else, just plugged it in and it had the delete option, I believe it is called a hacked street tuner but I dont know for sure, and it was 1600$ if you can find an old race tuner that would be the way to go however they do not make them anymore.

Maybe it's just with the new street tuners you don't need a vin.

I know a guy at diesel technology source that just posted to Facebook yesterday that they have mini max race tuners in stock. I assume he's talking about the old ones

If spe says they don't need your Vin and it will have the delete option there is no reason to not believe them. The last two I've gotten have not needed any Vin number info. I have given the Vin for the unlock code on previous ones though

would a hacked street tuner be better because it is not married to that vin# ?

I would imagine so, since it's not locked to the vin then you could take it off and use it on different trucks without buying another unlock code which were $100 if I recall.
