Any tips for removing s&b filter for cleaning?

First time removing for cleaning......I remember it was a pita to put on but it is a bear getting out. Seems like the attachment point for the filter needs to be trimmed down 1/4-1/2 inch. Thanks for any input

You literally just take the s&b cover off, unscrew filter clamp and pull out. It's easy as hell

I've always used a small pick tool to get under the lip of a filter. Pull it up just enough to get your finger tips in there.

Confederate Diesel, where only the finest JB Weld is used on your truck.
