4 Link BDS or Icon???

Looking into getting a 6" lift for the 6.7 and been looking around to get some insite. 4 link sounds like the way to go.

BDS has a good 6" kit that isn't to bad in price. But many people say Icon is a better ride/kit. Going with Icon is like twice the price for there 4 link. The Icon shocks look sick on a lot of there trucks too.

Anyone know which is better? I know upgrading shocks is always an option as well. Someone said on here before that the BDS 4 link isn't adjustable defeating the point of the 4 link. Looks like Icon's is. But it's hard to justify spending 6K on a kit.

Has anyone like bought a icon 4 link kit separate? Then throw it on there stage 1 kit? Or is it better to go with BDS and get the shocks from Icon (Supposedly a better shock). Sorry for the flood of questions but I plan to abuse this kit in offroad drags (dry and mud) and I don't want it dying on me mid run...

That what I was assuming. Plus, BDS has that legit warranty as well. But I have heard icon shocks are the way to go.

Any difference in a coil over versus a regular setup? Sorry for the rookie questions. Thought about doing dual shocks in front and back (obviously not coil over). And what icon shock are you running?

ive heard mixed on the bds lift kit warranty. so i cant speak for that just what ive heard.. there supposta be pretty good though.... just make sure the front coils are for a diesel and not a gas job....

i havent delt with a coil over or dual shocks so im not sure.. but my coil with a icon works pretty damn good... i would say if your not going crazy off road baja stye theyll all be the same.. i have a fab tech 6in and its been on the truck for 60k and i replace the shocks with icon 2.0 and it rides better then most cars..

Awesome. Well main thing is I don't want it to ride like a chuck wagon lol so I wanted to get good shocks. But BDS's kit looks better compared to what I have seen on the icon lifts. Mainly the 4 link. The only 4 link I have seen for icon is the stage 5 for like 6K. Little steep considering you can get a BDS with icon shocks for 2-3K less

Where are you at in Texas? I happen to know someone in DFW with a gently used Icon 4-link if you're interested.

Just the 4-link brackets and bars. In other words, you could buy the base Icon/BDS or whatever you wanted and substitute his 4-link for your radius arms.

Precision Metal Fab makes a 4 link as well as a 3 link setup. Can get multiple shock options. They produce a very nice kit. Only downside is they use blocks in the rear only. The factory rear doesn't ride too bad, however I pulled my overload in favor of a cali mini deaver pack.
