procomp traction bars question

My truck has the 8" procomp stage II lift. I feel I needed some traction bars to improve the ride and decided on the matching procomp traction bars. There is a mounting kit just for the 2011, 12, & 13s. So of course that is what I got. As far as the bars go they come in 50" and 67". I asked a lot of people which way to go and most leaned toward the longer, some shorter. I ordered longer and picked it all up today.

I read through the instructions from the mounting kit and they say to get the 50" bars. I continue to read and see that it appears this kit is 100% bolt on with no drilling (and thus nothing in your way). The kit comes with brackets for both 6" and 8" lifts.

I'm kind of thinking to just take back the 67" and get the 50" so that the kit is set up the way it was designed and to make install easier. Any opinions on this? Has anybody done this install... how easy was it?

Thank you,
John

I would opt for the 50".
Don't expect these bars to "improve your ride". Rolling with 37s on 22s with 8" of lift just isn't going to be a real plush ride.
They will definitely help with the axle wrap though.

update... I got the kit and the mounts are 100% bolt on with no drilling. The problem is that even though I switched to the shorter bars from the instruction They are about 1 1/2" too long! The kit come with mounts for a 6" lift and 8" lift. I have an 8", but it looks as if I were put on the brackets for the 6" that they will fit.

Does anybody have these for the 2011+?

I have to call procomp next week and see what they say.
