CP4 failure when tuned?

In a conversation with Justin of CFD, I learned that max effort tuning like the SPE hot tune or any other hot tune can be very hard on the high pressure pump. I understand that the plunger/cam/roller have to work making pressure for the entire stroke vs just a portion of the stroke as the volume control valve would be open all the time. Is this why? Does anyone have any input on this?

No issues thus far. Ben at Rudy's has been running the tuning for MANY MANY miles too.

By hot tune I was referring to "max effort tuning".
This is a tune that commands fuel delivery to the point where the fuel rail pressure actual is not quite the same as the desired/commanded fuel rail pressure.

I am not sure if the SPE HOT tune is a max effort tune or not.

Very good to hear the positive feedback from Ben on the tune guys.

Hey Amy, thanks for posting that info. That's very helpful and exactly the kind of experience I'm looking for!
