Transmission slipping

I was using h&s tunes for a while with transmission tuning. Shifted flawlessly. About 3 months ago I purchased the hot x tune from spe and loved that tune as well, even though shifts were a bit firm. I just decided to go back to h&s tunes and tranny tune and now it is slipping. Anyone have this problem? I tried loading the tune a second time with no luck.

Thank you

So I went back to the spe tune and all is fine. So definately a problem with the tune not the tranny.

Hello,
I had a problem with the hot x tune as well. Well kind of. I used the hot x tune, but didn't like the hot x tranny tune (the way it shifted in 2nd seemed to shift early.) I ended up trying to use the hot x engine tune with the H&S tranny tune. Ever since I tried that it would slip from 1-2 shift and it seemed to neutralize going into 3rd and it would be hard for it to get into 3rd gear. I tried everything from re-updating the mini max, to returning to stock and re-tuning, but it still had those problems. BUT when I re-tuned to the hot x engine/tranny tune that is the only tune that seemed to work. I ended up just using that tune for a few days, and then I tried "clearing engine codes" on the mini maxx (even though I didn't have any codes.) Then I returned to stock, and re-tuned to the H&S tunes and then my tranny problems went away. I ended up leaving it on the H&S tunes since i'm scared the hot x tune possibly messed it up, but I can't confirm that.

This is good to know. With the SPE trans tune the only time mine has ever slipped is right after I loaded the tune then did the trans relearn to help learn shifting. It slipped 1-2 other then that no problems. I haven't switched trans tunes yet but if and when I do I'll post if I notice what you guys have.

If the H&S Trans Tuning ran fine before, there is no reason that it shouldn't run the same now. Software doesn't change itself, there has got to be something else going on that is causing this. Perhaps something to do with adaptive memory. You might try returning completely to stock and then re-loading the H&S tuning. Perform the trans relearn immediately after and see what happens.

Yes I did try going back to stock first. I don't really want to do the relearn process and hammer on the throttle with the tranny slipping so bad though...

So I got the answer from a member on another site who had the same problem. Just loaded the h&s tune without tuning the transmission. There was no slipping, so I did the relearn process. I then loaded h&s tune with transmission tuning and all is good!

Glad to hear that you got it running good! We figured that it had to be something to do with adaptive memory getting confused because we know that our trans tuning works great.

Thanks for your support!
