Hid kits

Ok I've never done an hid kit in any of my trucks but always thought they looked awesome, what kit is everyone using? I've heard of kits having to cut into the factory harness and soldering or splicing?

Would it be better to just get different bulbs?

retro solutions or ddm.

you don't need a projector housing. those look stupid on the new trucks.

you will see plenty of hid trucks running around with OEM housings and no issues.

Either way I've had them both. It's personal preference. They super bright and I actually won't have my truck without em. Don't go through hid nation whatever you do they have terrible customer service and thier ballast are ****. All the kits I've bought are plug an play

If you want true HID lights Cary at CT Performance Inc does real nice conversions. Not the stick a HID light bulb in crap.

I put an HID kit in my truck, but would NOT do it again without projectors.

The hi-beams are basically worthless now, and the light pattern is kinda funky.
