EGT Monitor YES/NO

Recently tuned and deleted 2012 6.7. Using H&S Mini Max..

Question Is it nessassary to monitor your EGT's with H&S provided tunes. Towing small trailer 2000 miles in one week do not want to damage.

I am sort of in the same boat. I do not have the egr delete which obviously doesn't allow me to monitor the egt's. But I have read as long as you are not really pushing the truck hard the temp's should not reach a dangerous level. I know there are a lot of other owners on here that can really give you/us a better idea of the temperature range and with how hard the truck was working. But in your case I don't think there is too much to worry about. I will be towing about a 3k pound trailer 600 miles in a few weeks, I don't think the truck will even break a sweat, at least not enough to really get the egt's to a dangerous level.

But I would like to hear from others too in regards to their own opinions/experiences in similar situations.

Keep it in Tow(50hp) and you'll be fine.

Towing my 29' Everglades(12,000#) My EGT's are 600-800*F depending at what speed im cruising. I hit 1,100*F while running up a bridge. Taking off from a redlight they are about 600-750*F(running 2,000 rpm). You really have to try to get over 1000*F. Anything under 50% throttle your going to be fine. 2-4,000# is literally nothing for this truck.
