I know nothing about the mini maxx as mine is in route to me as we speak but most SD cards have a little slide that locks or write protects them. I am wondering if yours is in the lock position???????

not sure how to lock and unlock it but im fairly framilur with updating the mini maxx, i use there mcc software as well. best advice i can give you is buy a new card at wally world (there cheap) download auto updater and download the full sd, which in turn will have the latest updates on. Im actually in the process of doing this myself, want to have a back up sd card incase something goes wrong with mine while importing/exporting mcc files. good luck
