delete?
Is it worth deleting? I have a h&s mini installed now, and I can't tell any difference. I'm not looking for horse power increase. I need better fuel millage; I'm getting 9 mpg. What I want to know is it worth doing it? Is it going to compromise my engine life? And what pipe does everybody have if it is worth it? I want to keep my stock exhaust.

I am waiting on my mini maxx to arrive but it seems like you can get a downpipe back exhaust for a few bucks more than just the delete pipe. Originally I was just going to do the delete pipe but after pricing them I may just do the full exhaust.
9mpg empty? I have a 1 ton dually doing right around 16 mixed driving. Are you doing all city driving or laying into the skinny pedal? That doesnt sound right. Last edited by HorseMover; 02-22-2013 at 06:27 PM. |

i'd be more concerned with why you are only getting 9mpg, when most everyone is getting 15-20, unless you are towing with 6 or more tons behind you up hill all the time.
just a thought.....

Pulling about 10,000 when i checked the avg. Driving down the interstate at 75. Thats the least i usually pull. We work these trucks most the time its over 20,000. I was hoping for better than 9. My 2011 got better than that or at least I thought it did.

I would delete it and be done w it. Just keep your foot out of it do your maintance and you should be good. Exhaust do the 5" flo pro great sound. Get the egr block off plates so you can readd your egts. It is woryh it to delete more positives than negitives.
