Donaldson muffler on my Flo Pro delete pipe

Just thought I would share what I did to my exhaust for someone who might be in the same boat as I was..

I had just a delete pipe on my truck and for my taste it was too loud at idle, while putzing around town and I had a drone at around 40-50.

I know a lot of people might think the delete pipe only isn't that different than stock, but my experience was it was noticeably & annoyingly louder than stock.

A member here, Drunk on Diesel, suggested I install a Donaldson muffler (Muffler 4" In 4" Out, M085171, Donaldson - Ryder Fleet Products) and thank him later.

The truck is SO quiet at idle, there is absolutely no drone at all and its quiet just driving around. It's stock quiet in my opinion - I can hear myself think. It still sounds awesome when I get on it and you can still hear the turbo.

Good to know! I have the same problem with the drone. My truck has the flow pro 4" with muffler, but it still has a drone between 60-70 mph. I want to fix it and will probably go this route.

Sorry to hi-jack, but same basic idea, 4" flow-pro muffler kit. Had drone added a second muffler.

Glad you like it! The thing I really like about that muffler is how it doesn't kill the sound of the turbo like the packed style mufflers like Flo-Pro, etc.

My truck had a bad drone with the 4' MBRP cat back with no cat, Until I installed the 3.5" down pipe and now it quiet.
