Used XRT Pro?

Hello everyone my name is Shawn. I have a 2012 F250 Lariat and been lurking here for a month or so.. 1st post & I'm kind of a newb to diesel so please be kind .

I have an opportunity to buy a used XRT Pro from a friend of a friend. From what I read, I know the XRT lacks the defueling safety features of the Mini Maxx and the ability to monitor.

I hardly ever tow and when I do it's a 16' double axle dump trailer that I fill up with mulch for my yard. I used to have a boat that I bought the truck for towing, but just recently sold it.

Am I safe to run around town with the XRT Pro and not monitoring anything? Does anyone else here use the XRT Pro and not monitor? What level do you leave it at?

i run an xrt pro on my daily driver when i do pull it on no power or mild depending on the load. i ran on hot for the first few weeks but now have it set to mild with lbf on 3 hope that help
