What's this NOISE!?!?! Cold Start Up/Idle *Video*

I posted this in the motor problem forum and no hits. I guess I can try here.

Happened last week. Truck drove fine the night I parked it in the garage. Start it up the next day and it sounded like my neighbor across the street was vacumming/leaf blowing(electric). I looked around and nobody was there, then noticied it was coming from my truck. WTF? I drove it down my street and back. Parked, Shut Down, Restart...Same noise. NOTE: Truck was LOW on Fuel. About 5miles to EMPTY. I drive to the diesel pump(3miles) step out of the truck and its idling normal. No Noise. No Vacumm/Leaf Blower..lol That was wierd. Hasn't made that noise since.

Im just shooting in the dark here....HiPressure Fuel Pump?????

I 1st thought it was coming from the Intercooler tube...But Not the problem.

Mine does the same thing. Only when it's low on fuel I would say 10 miles to empty or less and only when I first start it up. If I already driving and it gets that low it does not make that noise.

That noise that you guys are hearing is the turbo. Mine does it when I start my truck when its cold. Then after I park and let idle it will do it 2 or 3 times for 5-10 sec a piece

I think it does something to help warm the engine up to operating temps faster. And then also helps cool down when you park and are idling
