egr blocked & dpf present

i want to block the EGR with my blocker plates but still run the DPF. I stole a sensor from the DPF to monitor EGT, so all i should have to do is get a new sensor from Ford to replace the one from the DPF so i can still monitor EGT.

Will this work?

Sorry, forgot to mention that. I do have a mini maxx and im currently deleted but i'd like to run with the DPF on for the time being.

h&s manual says just to unplug the EGR, but wanted to make sure that is fine to leave the blocker plates installed with a sensor from the DPF so i can still monitor EGT, get a new sensor to replace the one i took from the DPF, reinstall the DPF and run the tuner on "DPF Present"
