Newbie Needs Help! REWARDS AVAILABLE!

I just purchased a 2013 Platinum 250. Picking it up tomorrow morning and already purchased my wheels, tires, and level kit

Now for engine mods.

Ive always have had lifted trucks. But they were all GAS! FIRST DIESEL!

That being said, I am practically illiterate. I definitely want an EGR Delete and full exhaust (MBRP) Prefferably.

Not sure what exhaust to get to include the DPF delete. Also what does that do to the DEF? If someone could just post a link as to where I could buy the full exhaust that I need that would be great.

Also, intake and tune are on my list.

Bad idea to run exhaust and no intake or tune?

Whats the best tuner I can buy?

Any help would be great.

Ill reward you with pics and my stock parts for sale cheap! THANKS!!!

The first thing you should do is get a RBP grill and sell me your Platinum grill cheap!!!

H&S for the tuner. All kind of exhaust options out there, as well as intakes.

haha, I will soon! Hopefully within the month. Ive found a couple MBRP exhausts, if it says down pipe back 5 inch, is that removing the cat and everything? I want straight piped pretty much..

Or at least I think I do!

on these 6.7's you MUST MUST MUST get a tune if your gonna do a DPF delete exhaust... otherwise your gonna throw codes and blah blah blah, your truck just wont work lol...

H&S and Spartan tunes are what i hear are the best out there so far

Would be a good idea to keep your stock parts as far as exhaust goes if you value your warranty. That way if anything goes wrong, you can return it to stock before taking it in for warranty work.

Yes I'm planning on keeping all stock motor parts just to the exteriors looks like wheels, grill, running boards, ect.

I cannot seem to find an H&S tuner that says it will work on a 13. Oh boy.

IMO, I would NOT tune your truck.

Things are different now. The big power and mileage gains are history, like the 6.4L
Tuners were a must on the 6.4L, but the 6.7L comes stock with the SCR emissions system that dramatically cuts back on what the problems with the 6.4L were, and that's EGR.

6.7L horsepower in stock form is impressive, fuel mileage is back where it belongs and your engine has a full warranty.
If you tune, there are no high horsepower increases, very small MPG gains, and your warranty is history on an engine with some real problems yet to be completely solved..

Knowing that, it's your choice if you think minimal gains are worth the risk.

Can someone please answer a question for me.

If I purchase a down pipe back exhaust, will that include a DPF delete?

I'm pretty sure that there aren't any tuning options for a 2013...
