h&s no power tune safe?

i just installed a h&s and flo pro exhuast. i dont have the egr plate to read exhaust temps yet . is it safe to drive it on the no power tune without reading egts? also what is involved with the egr plates from h&s to get egt readings? im just nervous once i start going past no power tune im gonna be asking for turbo problems. is it safe to tow 13 or 14k with no power tuning? thanks guys, Cory
