Lets hear from people with non H&S or Spartan

I would like to hear some experiences from people with SCT, Hypertech ,Bully Dog, and Superchips. It would be great to have the discussion without any bashing from the H&S and Spartan people. We all know they are the best. Surely there are people on here with other programmers/tuners how do these companies stay in business if no one is buying there product. I've searched and searched all over the web and can't find any reviews for the 6.7 and the cheaper programmers. Real Dyno numbers would be great. How cool would it be for someone to do an unbiased comparison using all the available tuners on the same truck with dyno numbers and track times? They could even do it with a loaded trailer to compare tow tunes.

What is the latest best DPF on tuner? Is there anything new coming out soon?

The people who run the big company tuners are often times not on the forums. The guys running the bully dogs, and edge, banks, ect are usually guys who bought what there local shop sells. Those tuners dont make big HP, or MPG increases, but are safe plug it in and forget about it tuners. You will see this with any brand truck and motor. There is nothing wrong with those tuners, but they just dont give you the bang for the buck.

I ran the Superchips tuner for roughly 2 months before sending it back and getting an H&S.

Powerwise, the increase was dramatic. I still had the full DPF and stock air intake. The truck had good throttle response and pulled much harder. Then the problems started. CONSTANT regens. After jumping on the throttle on 4 different occasions the truck just shut off. Yes. Shut the f off. Once on the highway. That was fun. I'm still prying seat cushion out of my butt. Once after 2 testing runs on a lonely desert road from 0-100mph I pulled back into my neighborhood to have an overboost error code on the dash.

Got an XRT Pro, did the deletes. No issues. Just power.

H&S tuned to 32psi at WOT, AFE exhaust, 6" suspension lift, 37x12.50 Trail Grapplers on 20"x10" black Fuel Revolvers, 4.30 Yukon gears, CAI, ladder bars, rear locker mod, custom wire mesh grill, blacked out tail/cargo/side marker lights, custom halo headlights, bumper bar with Black Magic fog lamps, limo tinted glass.

I have a 2012 F450, first week I had the Air Raid and SCT tune. That was a year and a half ago. I did an update on the SCT, the truck lost at least 1/3 power and the idle is choppy. I called SCT, they said it was because I had a cold air kit, then they said I need to update the computer. Everything was fine till I did a update.

I ordered a Bully Dog to see if the truck will run better with the Bully Dog. The H&S is on national backorder. I need to know now if the PCM is the problem or it was the SCT tuner. Talk about pulling your hair out.

If the Bully Dog works, I will return and then wait for the H&S.

I will update after I use the Bully Dog. I was happy with the SCT when it was working. I have come to a cross road where I need to move on and not look back. I would like to sell the SCT but don't want someone else to have my headaches.

I'm running the Bank's Automind on my truck and love it. The additional power is awesome for a DPF on tuner in my opinion. These trucks pull good from the factory but after pulling with the tow tune installed, I will never pull with stock tuning again. And there is no need to worry about merging into traffic with the Super Sport tune installed. Plenty of power and giddy up and go!!

Thank you, looks like the H&S will be on backorder for awhile. I will not be able to do a delete now. The Bully Dog cannot do a bypass for the exhaust/emissions. Uggggg
