HS or Spartan

Happy Holidays
I'm getting serious about tuning my 6.7, in light of what's going on right now....But I do have some questions
I had a Spartan with my 6.4, and it worked great
I know with HS it's shift on the fly and not with Spartan, and if you use shift on the fly a lot is that hard on the tranny because of the relearn?
What are the safe tunes to run on each with towing under 8k
I would also like to do a 5" exhuast straight with no muffler, but I don't want it to be crazy loud in the cab, I have a Mustang for that.
How will the future support be with HS now since they stopped production, I have heard their support is great, and Spartans support for my 6.4 was awesome....I'm really torn between the two
Thanks

I have the mini maxx in my 6.4 and I went with it over spartan because of the shift on the fly (however you have me nervous itch the tranny comment... First I've herd of it being hard on my tranny :s) from what I've seen/herd/read they are both great companies with awesome tunes, as far as H&S goes they are currently on hold with dpf tunes but they are going to continue offering the same support they always have. And depending on how things go with the EPA they will either resume regular production or only build dpf present tunes sometime next year, so they won't be going anywhere, the tunes might just change in the future.

H&S will continue to provide warranty and customer service to previous customers with dpf off tuners.

I went H&S today. But I'm damned tore up about it. I really liked the sound of the spartan power, but the clank issue and some other smaller stories, plus shift on the fly sent me to H&S.
