Question HELP ICON 4.5 INCH LIFT KIT

Hello everyone! I am new to the forum and currently have a 6.7. I was looking for any input on the icon 4.5 inch lift. Is it REALLY worth the money? How does it hold up? Should i just look at the pro-comp 6 inch stage 2 kit for 800 less? In the end i would like to run 35 inch tires.

Thanks in advance, any input and/or pictures of your trucks can help me tons!!

I wish I wouldn't have tried to save a little money and gone ahead and gone with the icon.... And if you want to run 35's they look perfect with 4.5 lifts.

I have researched for months, and I am set on icon. You can run 35" with a stock truck, so no problems there. 35's do look awesome.

Level 1,2,3,4 or 5?

I have a stage 2 4.5 the quality is much better but ride is about the same as stock. I never owned a different lift but installed a procomp once and there is a significant difference in fit and finish. If you plan on using your truck offroad you are probably better off going Icon.

mine is on a 6.4. I bought it used off here. its just the stage I kit with bilsteins and Its way better then my stock ride. Super easy to install. Only difference between the 08-10 kits and yours i think is the radius arm brackets. Also if your rear axle is a two piece you will want to look into carrier bearing shims or take it to a driveline shop to get you hooked up. ive got some pics of my truck with 35s and this lift. I think it looks really good. you can get away with a leveling kit if you wanted also and some nice shocks.

Big Laing,

I agree with you on the 35s looking good! I was leaning towards the Stage 3 kit.

You owe it to yourself to look at the Carli and Pure Performance 4.5" lifts if that is your budget.

I have looked at carli quite a bit. I don't want to replace my rear leafs. If $ wasn't an issue I would run icon 4.5 stage 5, ALA, and OUO traction blocks.
