lost the turbo??now what
Ok lost the turbo in my truck last week. I pull fairly heavy quite often. I have done the egr delete, def delete, and methanol injection, and minimax tuner. I don't ever pull with the chip on anyting but no power. I'm not sure why the turbo went out.
Do anything of these 4 things combined set me up to fail when I'm towing. If they don't warranty the turbo should I go back with the stock turbo or is there a better aftermarket turbo that I should use? Thanks for the help Bryan |

Sorry for the bad luck.

How do you figure you have a chance at all of warranty?

Mod friendly dealer?
my dealer told me as long as I bring it back stock they would get it taken care of. I guess they want the warranty work but if ford comes in and sees they are paying for a tuned truck, they do want that risk so they want all trucks to come in stock form.

I was hoping for warranty, but really didn't expect it
Dealer said no warranty even tho I put everything back to stock except the exhaust. Still tearing into the turbo to see what caused it. Initial thought thought from the mechanic is that egt's got to high. What is the max egt you want to see in these fords? I've seen 1400 a couple times just spikes never stayed up that high for more than a few seconds.

Did yours come as Pickup, or Cab/Chassis by chance? The C&C trucks come with a different turbo which is prone to fail. Mine has had two fail already, and is completely stock.
