Torq2.1 & Tuner Question

I have a 2011 f250 that I would really like to tune. I am getting more comfortable with doing it, although it only has 3700 miles on it. I read some of the problems even at later mileage on stock trucks, and I wonder if I should wait? I have been contimplating trying the torq2.1 alone first. What are your guys thoughts on torq2.1 alone? Is it worth it without tuning? are the gains that noticeable? They claim it will add 100 hp, that seems like it would be noticeable. I havent found much about guys running it alone, but rather stacked with a tuner. I will eventually get a tuner, but I was wondering if this would satisfy my needs for a short while, or should I skip it, and just tune. The torq2.1 is more wallet friendly at this time.....that is if there is ever a time that a tuner IS wallet friendly?

If you would of done a simple search. or read past page 1 you would of found your answers. The Torq2/2.1 has a mixed bag of reviews. Some see gains. Some don't. I have one and haven't noticed anything. Just to lazy to take it out.

best for the buck I would say is the SCT with erics tunes....gives you a seat of the pants feel, the torque 2.1 helps keep everything working together, shifts smoother stuff like that, Eric is offering offroad tunes now. I am looking for that sound you cant get with a dpf
