Gents,
This weekend I decided to install the AD II on my 2012 F250. This is my 4th AD install but first on a Ford. Finally came over to the blue side after many many years only problem is I wish I would have done it sooner. Well I got the AD installed and first impression was the AD was not working properly due to sound. Pump sounded very weak, could hardly hear it with the key on. Went ahead and primed the filters confirmed I had diesel in the system ( covered my garage in diesel ) truck started right up, after approximately 20 seconds filter at the engine started to make funny sounds like it was starving for fuel. Then I noticed 3 fault codes 1) traction control fault 2) trailer connect fault 3) exhaust fluid fault 50 miles till restricted to 50MPH. Decided to go ahead and drive it around. Made it a few blocks truck ran great at WOT, got back killed the truck and tried to start it again, truck took 10 seconds to finally start, Still error codes and pump still running very very very quiet. Not like my previous ADII. Checked everything and no leaks. I connected the fuse into # 56 as they recommended which is a dash control / start up fuse. It was a 20 amp. I could not get any errors to go away. With the way I rigged it up I simply re installed back to factory, at start up all but one warning cleared. DPF fault, drive around for 5 min and it clears. Next day drive it and truck fine. Any suggestions on what I need to do? My impression is that the pump is weak or not getting right power. Currently have AD bolted to fame and unhooked, nice piece of $550 dollar jewelry hanging off of her not working
