Torq 2.1 or Mini Maxx for best MPG
I am considering either the Torq 2.1 or Mini Maxx to get better MPG with my 6.7.
I don't plan to do the delete any time soon as I just have 10k on the truck and it is less then a year old. Maybe when the warranty runs out or gets close. So with the thought of considering the delete down the road would I be better off getting the Mini Maxx over the Torq? I do mostly highway miles and would love to get better than 15 MPG avg. no matter what option I select. If you have either of the 2 on your truck with/out the delete please feel free to post your MPG gains. Am also considering a intake upgrade if that would help with one of the above items. |

Unfortunately, I don't think a tuner alone will give you enough MPG to make up the $1100 on a tuner. It's kinda a total package. If you're going to do anything, you should go all the way. I had my tuner in for a little over 2 weeks when I found that out. After 3 tanks, my milage did nothing. After full exhaust/DPF delete and EGR blocker with temp probe, I'm getting about 3 more miles to the gallon average. I get a little over 22 at 70mph and 20.5 at 75/77mph. Plus, Tuner alone could void the factory warranty. I know nothing about KEM tunes. I need to look that up.
