Waiting for delivery of my new AFE
You buncha bastards!
All your damn yappin about putting an AFE on the 6.7 made me go on Ebay & drop my pants to buy one for my 2011 F250. I'm really not sure if 26HP is going to be that much of a kick in the pants on a truck that weighs almost as much as a house, but anything helps I guess. Hopefully after all these months of people *****in about the SES light coming on due to the AFE addition to the truck, AFE took themselves away from counting their millions of dollars & corrected the problem with this new one I bought. I'm hoping once this baby shows up @ my door one of our Bill Gates tuners will had put their crack pipe down & figured out how to create a program for a truck that's been on the road for a year & a half now w/o voiding the warranty.

aFe Intake for 6.7L
Big Mike,
Just saw your post. How was your experience with the aFe intake on your 6.7L. We have seen very few issues with check engine lights on this vehicle. If you have been seeing some, please feel free to contact me directly at jbruce@afepower.com or call me directly at 951-493-7147. Thanks for your support. Jason Bruce. |

2,000 miles so far & no codes yet, and that's with me driving like an A hole as usual. So if it ain't throwing any codes for me then it may very well have been doing it for others due to a poor install. |

Dammit BigMike, now you are going to make me get one. You get a tuner yet?

I've heard that you've gotta remove your factory PCM & swap it out with a tuned one in order to get around tampering with your own just in case something goes wrong with anything on the truck, Ford won't have an excuse with fixing the problem under warranty. The AFE did make a tiny difference with acceleration off the line, but as far as a kick in the *** noticible HP gain or more mpg absolutely nada. And that's coming from a guy who's tricked out dozen's of my trucks from Ford's & Chevy's to Hummer's & Escalade's besides all of my Viper's & Vette's I used to drag race. |

Have you checked out innovative diesels tunes? They just released their DPF on tunes and are claiming that once you put it back to stock, dealer can't tell that it's tuned. That might be what you are looking for. I got a H&S and love it. My dealers pretty cool and won't give me crap about it.

I know business's are cramping down big time by using any excuse possible that'll hold up in court of why there was an issue w/ their product, in order to get out of paying $ during this Obama reccession. |

KEM is the way to go as far as DPF on tunes go. They are putting down some pretty impressive HP and MPG numbers. I should get my tuner tomorrow and hopefully they will be open the day after Christmas, since I am heading that way for vac and want to swing by and pick up a set of tunes from them.

Nope, my plan is to get the tuner tomorrow and order the 6.7 unlock code (100.00 bs). The day after Christmas I will be heading to Tennessee so I will swing by their shop in Georgia and pick up a green card (if they are open).
