i miss the loud turbo . can i do this

like others, i miss hearing these trucks . especially like my 6.0, . so can the air mufflers in the intake manifold be blocked off or something? for those of us who like to hear our diesel engines, especially the turbo whistle!!

also how can i get it to sound like the beginning in this video before they quiet it down, is that done just by tuning???
is that why the II add a turbo is louder because it doesnt use the factory intake with the mufflers?

The engines are quieter because of the pilot injection. A custom tuner should be able to turn it off. Should actually help improve fuel mileage

Yes its all in the piolet injection. The injectors will inject a small bit of fuel before its supposed to, to allow the burn to start. It helps keep it quieter mostly, but also helps emmisons.

Yes, just like going from split shot injectors to single shots in a 7.3, same concept, excpet its all in the pcm, not in the injectors.

im not too concerned about emmisions so H&S should be able to disable it?

nothing sweeter . im working on it. im going to tinker tomorrow maybe take the intake off see what can be done.i rode in my buddies 6.0 yesterday and been obsessed about getting the sound back since then.
