Does an AFE filter improve fuel mileage?

I understand that K&N (which i've always had in my trucks) doesn't make a filter for the '11 6.7L. Does anyone have any experience with the AFE filters? I am OK with the stock torque and HP - it's really only fuel efficiency I am looking for. Do the AFE filters affect mileage on these trucks? I am currently averaging around 20 MPG. Thanks!

i just put the AFE in Tuesday. not much difference noticed yet, but it idles smoother and spools up a bit quicker. no mileage difference yet, but not enough driving with it either.

Would like to hear some mileage feed back, I am thinking of doing the drop in AFE also. Don't want to change too much with the truck still under warranty and all.

almost a week in, mileage seems a little better. ususally i get 13.8 aroud town, now 14.7 same driving - mostly around town, little highway. so far worth the 65 bucks.

I've got the aFe stage 2. All I noticed is more turbo noise. I run steady highway and have noticed zero mileage difference
