I'm waiting a little while longer to see if Volant is coming out with a intake that uses their powercore filter.

I called Volant and asked if they were coming out with anything with the powercore filter and I was told it is unlikely. They said I can use a dry filter but they recommend the oiled.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you know that the AFE is a better system? The S&B was way better on the 6.4 and it cost's less. Plus everyone I've heard of that has the AFE on their 6.7 with no tuning is having problems with CELs and other things. It just seems like you've always got the right stuff, you've got an H&S tuner so Spartan sucks, you've got and AFE filter so S&B sucks. I'd just like to see some proof to your claims. If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but at least I'm open that I may not have all the right stuff.

The AFE and S&B intakes both have their goods/bads. I wouldnt say either one is better, it all comes down to what you prefer. For the 6.4L, the S&B has a good price, but is much more difficult to install and service the filter than the AFE kits. The AFE kits were much easier to install/service, but they cost a little more. Again, it all comes down to what you prefer.
