Silly H&S with delete question???
Ok so this may or may not seem silly but here it goes. Have had the mini max and AFE intake on for about a month. Everything works great, all gauges on mini working including pyro. Just did the DPF delete ( no bungs ) today and now the pyro not reading right one stays way low all the time, around 120 and the other one is scary high 1700-1800 at idle. Has latest update 6.7.8 I believe as of yesterday. Was the mini reading off the sensors in the DPF pipping and if so how would I get it to read egts now. The mini I have didn't come with the egt sensor. I'd rather not drill any holes in factory truck parts and (im NOT doing egr delete) but if that's what I gotta do then I guess I will. Any input would be great. What if I installed factory sensor in dfp delete pipe, it would be reading post turbo, right? And that's still better than nothing.

No one has any suggestions or explanations on new readings?

Have you looked into the EGR Block off plates? You don't have to delete the entire EGR that way, just 2 tubes, and one of the plates comes pre-tapped for you to either plug the H&S pyro into or you can pull one of the pyro's out of your factory exhaust and plug it into the hole..

Do you have a H&S pyro installed on the truck?

No I don't. When I bought the mini I was told it would monitor egts without having to purchase the optional egt sensor. And like I said it was working befor I did the delete yesterday so I have no idea.

When you do a DPF delete you take out the factory pyro's. So to monitor EGT's you will need to run a H&S pyro.
Same thing happened on my truck also. |

Thanks for the info Brian. Where did you install yours? Did you do the egr delete? I don't really want to do that if I don't have to.

You don't have to do the EGR Delete, you just need the Blocker Plates. You can also use one of the Pyro's from the DPF/SCR/CAT that you pulled off your truck. One of the plates is tapped, that is where you'll put your Pyro.

So what exactly does that require, And when done how do I get the signal the the mini max? Is there a picture somewhere or some detailed instructions?
