Got a C.E.L......

Hey guys. Getting ready to buy the H&S Tuner and dp back pro flow exhaust, but before I do, I got a CEL this morning. Went to the dealer and its three codes, all of which have to do with the emissions bs. You guys think I should even get it fixed since Im taking it all off or what?
Thanks.
Ernie

Get it fixed before you do the tuner. If it would happen to lead to problems down the road, you might be screwed.

I say it all depends on what the codes are. If you get us a listing of what codes it threw, we could better advise you.

If it is a simple emissions code, I would go ahead and program it with an exhaust.

He didn't say what the codes were, only that they all had to do with the urea pump and heater, I believe. The truck is running on about half power. I guess a safety thing. Im taking it in Tuesday. Thanks.

I would get it fixed under warranty and then remove everything. That way everything is in working condition if you ever need to go back to stock for whatever reason.

Took it in yesterday. Good thing I did. Fuel pump was bad as well. It had been "whining" and I asked about it when I dropped it off. Im kinda hesitant to mod it right away when I get it back because of these things. Not that it was something major, but still. I have just over 10k on it so I guess I'll see how it goes when i get it back. I really want this quiet exhaust off though! lol..

Glad you got it all fixed before the mods. Seems like you would have been removing them to go back anyway.
