6.4L & 6.7L Tuning

I thought I read somewhere that if you get like a h&s performance chip or a Spartan tuner that you would be able to switch from the 6.4 to the 6.7 and download some tunes, is that true? Do you have to buy a different tuner? If you could use the same tuner how much would new runes be for a 6.7? I want to get a dpf delete but I will only have this 6.4 for three years and if I can't switch anything over I might just end up waiting until I get a 6.7. Any help would be great, thanks

we are still waiting for someone to release tunes for the 6.7. but you are correct, the dashdaq that spartan uses is supposed to work for the 6.7




fx4 and the round PowerStroke emblems are now gone!!

So your saying that h&s will be the same way but free? How is that possible? I am sure that they would have to charge for tunes for a new motor in a different truck

its possible that h&s would charge for the tunes,but as it stands right now they only charge for the tuner.i bought a used black maxx and it will cost me nothing to download tunes for my truck.with spartan you have to pay three hundred per truck to tune.

Yep same here...had to chance to sell my black maxx but I figured I would call H&S first. He said it will work just fine on my new one and that it would be a free file

We have put a ton of R&D into this 6.7 Scorpion. So, we have contemplated a $50 charge for installation on this platform. Still a lot cheaper than purchasing a new tuner, and I think you guys will be really pleased with the results. There are still a LOT of details to be worked out, but things are coming together quite nicely.

great news H&S....of course the gorilla in the room asks can we get rid of the emissions stuff and will our warranty still be valid??

Warranties are void the second you modify the truck. Period.

I think the question you should be asking is, is it gonna be possible to sneak it past the guy at the counter.

As far as warranty, I can't claim much there. It is up to your dealer. But for the emissions, it will be full Urea / DPF delete capable. It will also have emissions present tuning if you would like to leave it all on the truck.
