Elite Diesel Engineering replacement turbo....

I see that Elite has a replacement turbo kit for 11-14 6.7s. It uses the 2015 OEM turbo. Anyone have any experience with this kit yet? I think it would cure the turbo surge at light load that many of us have seen with these truck's stock turbos.

"This is a reliable and easy upgrade for the problematic turbo in the 2011-14 model year trucks. Using the turbo from the 2015 Super Duty and all necessary components to swap over.

Using this kit you will reuse your existing intercooler piping and air filter setup.

Kit comes with turbocharger, gaskets, seals, downpipe, lower intake manifold, along with water and oil lines."
$3000.00

Wow! Why does it only cost $3,000? I thought you needed the conversion mount in order to use a single VGT? Isn't the 2015 turbo a single VGT, Garrett 3788?

Just going from their web page. Elite Diesel Engineering, check it out. Sounds promising at that price.

I thought the 2015 was using this GT37 turbo, which requires a new pedestal, up-pipes, etc. Hence why the kit is so expensive..

Does this mean the 2015 uses another custom designed turbo by Garrett-Honeywell? Why does $3,000 seem too good to be true for this upgrade?

I thought the same thing. Maybe someone can explain from first hand knowledge. I hope it's a viable option.

Yeah man, thanks for sharing! I haven't looked on their site for a while. I anticipated to spend almost $7,000 for a turbo upgrade at one point. This is big news for me!
