Truck threw a code yesterday, died running down the road!

P0093 - Fuel System Leak Detected - Major Leak
Yesterday, was headed on my normal 650 mile commute to work, came up on an SUV driving slowly behind a semi truck. Went to pass, hammered down full throttle, truck down shifted to 4th, and when the truck made the 4-5 shift under full throttle, truck limped, check engine light came on, loss of all power, was bout 3/4 way around the semi, put the truck into neutral coasting, and the engine shuts down! Got pulled over, cleared the code, truck started right back up, no issues since the incident. Anyone have any problems like this? A major fuel leak, would that be in the line between the tank and the injection pump, or loss of pressure in the CP4/fuel rails detected? Hard to say, alls I know it freaked me out, and had I not been on a desolate stretch of montana highway with NO traffic, this could have gotten me hurt in Denver where I live.
Truck only has 3300 miles thus far, so the lift pump or Cp4 should still be in good shape. I searched and only one other thread came up where a guy had the code, was running the 160 spartan tune when it occured.

Check your fuel cap, if its not on properly it can cause a system fault

The truck is not going to die from the tank cap being loose or off.

P0093 Fuel System Leak Detected - Large Leak

Description The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the fuel volume control valve value necessary to maintain a desired fuel rail pressure and sets a DTC when the set point needed for the fuel volume control valve to maintain desired fuel rail pressure exceeds a calibrated limit.
Possible Causes Fuel system leak

Diagnostic Aids This DTC is set when the PCM detects the requested fuel volume control value exceeds a calibrated threshold indicating a large fuel system leak.
The PCM may disable the low pressure fuel pump causing a no start condition when this DTC sets.
