Changing Gears

Has anyone swapped to lower gears for their 6.7 yet? I have the 3:55s I'm about to put 40 inch tires on it though and was wondering if anyone running bigger tires had any problems. Thanks

I run 40" toyo's on mine and it does fine, I don't tow anything heavy but this engine is a torque monster. I had a 6.4 that had 40's and stock there was no comparison to the 6.7.
I'm 6'3" and the bed is above my head so I am not real sure what you could really tow with a gooseneck. Going to get some pics on here as soon as I can get her cleaned up. If you have any questions pm me. I personally ran into a bunch of driveline problems which are still being worked out.

I'm running 40" m16s with 24x14's and 10" of lift with 3.55s. Also have a mini maxx. The truck still has plenty of get up. I haven't had a chance to tow with it yet.

Sweet man, I'm looking at running the pure performance 8 with their coilovers. Do you have plenty of clearance and do you have ladder bars.. Just wondering how it shifts with that lift. And do the m16s hold up well?

I have the bds 8" with a 2.5" spacer up front and ouo traction blocks in the rear. I haven't put the traction bars on yet. The only shift I really feel is first to second. I have plenty of clearance. Possibly could have gone another inch or 2 on the tires. They look small under the truck. I've only put about 700 miles on it since the lift but I love the tires. They aren't nearly as loud as I thought they would be.

Good to hear, I was a little worried about running the 8 inch kit and clearing but they are coilovers so I should be able to get close to 10 inches in the front, what size blocks are you running in the rear?

I completely forgot about the stock blocks when ordering so I got a 9 inch from ouo. They're all stacked right now. I'm thing about ordering a 5" icon leaf pack to get away from having the stacked blocks. I would post a picture but can't figure it out from my phone.

Do you know what the difference is in the ouo tapered blocks VS the ones that aren't tapered?
