I asked my service advisor about this just after I purchased the truck.
He strongly advised against it while the truck was under warranty.....If any evidence of a pyro being installed was on a truck in for engine related repairs while under warranty, the tech was to call mother Ford regarding what additional testing to perform.
That's where he made mention of using a non-intrusive gauge package such as the Insight unit.
Granted, Ford does not have a pyro right in front of the turbo, but some info is better than none.
Of course, YMMV
