MPG update with H&S Tuner....

Just wanted to throw this out there. Since installing this a week ago(w/ dp back exhaust), Im averaging approx 3-4mpg better so Im a happy camper. It seems the higher tunes are actually better for fuel mileage as long as your foots not in it, lol.

Does that tune require you to remove the DPF or is it a plug n play?

I'm getting about 15.5 on the interstate running 75-85 mph. Getting 17.5 on what I'd call city driving. 20.0 mpg on 2 lane running 60.

I would like to see some tranny tunes. Mine has a shimmy every now and again.

I am getting 13.5 in town and about 13 on the highway running 75 in subzero temps in Illinois.

I wish it was better, but what can you do. Hopefully they will have some higher end tunes soon!

Well I have always hand calculated my mileage and I havent gained much. Nothing against H&S but mpg gains aren't in any of their tunes. I've tried them all and the gains are I only from the truck not going into regen. I had a similiar lift set up using spartan and was getting 16-17 hand calculated miles on same route with much more HP. So hope H&S steps up

Not to burst your bubble, but are you doing hand calculated fuel mileage?

Any time you "tune" one of the Power Stroke motors, the on-board mileage computer always shows way more MPGs that the truck is actually getting, at least that's been my experience on the 7.3s, 6.0s and 6.4s that I've owned.

My current 2010 F250 with 3.55 gears & Spartan tunes will get from 12 to 12.5 mpg in City driving and 18 to 19 mpg at 70 mph on the Highway. The truck's computer typically shows 16 mpg in City and 23 mpg on the Highway.
