Turbo studders as it winds down

I have a 2012 powerstroke and sometimes my Turbo studders as it winds down instead of smoothly spooling down. any ideas on what could cause this or is it a sign it's going bad?

Try letting off the skinny peddle a little more smooth. If boost is built up and you let off real quick all that pressure has to go somewhere causes the turbo to flutter. Its not good on the either. I try to ease out of it

I had idled down my driveway before I killed it and I have a long driveway. It's done it on more than one occasion

Thanks guys I talked to diesel mechanic and said it is just.the waste gate valves trying to close. Guess I'm killing it too soon. I'll let it idle for a while before killing from now on
