Got my turbo replaced under warranty.
So Saturday I stopped by my local ford dealer in Ogden to get a service ticket started for Monday morning. My ticket had a few items including: antifreeze change (60k mile service), fill up the DEF, and I asked if there was anything they could check about me having frequent regens, diesel dilution of my oil, and slight turbo surge randomly on the freeway. Sunday night I dropped my truck off, so they could have it done by Monday afternoon.
Monday afternoon comes around and I haven't heard from the dealer, so I give my service manager a call. SM tells me the tech was checking into some stuff about the turbo, and that he will call me with an update later. Monday evening SM calls me and starts with "your getting a new turbo". He says tech said there was a code for the turbo (didn't throw a CEL) and with the issues I stated means a new turbo. Everything covered under warranty, didn't get my truck back till Tuesday afternoon (which is fine, I told them no rush).
So after driving around for almost a week on a new "hyper" balanced turbo everything seems fine. The turbo is much smoother. I will update this thread after more driving and some towing.
