Red diesel fuel

Hey guys just wanted to double check, but my understanding is red fuel (off-road/non-taxed) is just fuel that is colored red from a dye. It has no harmful/different effects than regular diesel correct?

Also anyone recommend any aftermarket fuel filter/bypass kits? I've heats Amsoil makes one... ?

i burn over 600 gallons of red fuel a day at work in 3508 Cat engines, in 399 Cat engines, in fork lifts in man lifts and it never causes a problem anywhere, everyone will try to tell you it wont run in this engine or that engine they are wrong. It has dye in it. thats it. I have had times where i was on location and low on fuel and have put it in whatever i was driving from my 2012 6.7 ford my 2006 6.0 ford and all of my dodges. as long as it is filtered i have never had a problem with it.

Just dye but your wallet will take a beating if they find it in a on road vehicle.
