Won't Start with Key but Starts with Remote

I have a 2011 Ford F250 6.7 Liter Diesel it will only start with the remote, it has 35,250 miles on it. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem and what was done to fix it? It has been in the shop now for 5 days and they can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it. They are throwing parts at it to try and fix it and so far none have worked. They've changed the starter, inspected the fly-wheel, changed a modular box and have now ordered a PCM module whatever that is. Now my question is on the starter and Fly-wheel why would it be mechanical when it works with the remote and not the key. To me it would be electrical or computer. If anyone has any help it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Update:The Ford Dealer now has gotten the truck also not to start with the remote. When the problem happens the motor starts to crank but does not completely turnover it just stops. They also said oddly enough they have another truck doing the same thing. It's the same year but has 60,000 miles on it. This truck is throwing a code saying to replace the PCM module so they are going to try that on mine as well on Monday. I will post update Monday on results.

I was going to say to look at your key and make sure it's not worn out, but you would be the punisher of keys for that to happen that fast.

Wow, a bad PCM already. The brain of the powertrain went bad. Wierd. I have see this in other vehicles and it ended up being the ignition switch, but I don't know much about the 6.7 equipped trucks. The Ford tech would know more than I would, and I am not being condescending.

Any update on the final disposition? I seem to be having a similar issue.

We have seen a few bad electrical connectors on the PCM (power control module) here lately that people were getting a no start condition, worth the look.
