Question BAD 6.7 HELPPPP!!!!!

i have a srw 2011 f350 6.7 yesterday i was towing about 30k pounds and it all of a sudden made a noise and started missin real bad and a little black smoke turned in to alot of blueish whiteish smoke it make a small knockin sound when it first happend for a little bit then that stopped made it back home and dropped the load and took it to ford had them plug it up and they said it dropped a valve and has a number 6 missfire so i took it home and oulled the valuve cover off and the valves looked and felt fine so i have the motor ready to pull out i have a h&s programmer that was turned off whn it happned and it has a straight pipe but i dont think that has anything to do with it but it has 165000 miles on it i think it could be a broke ring anyone have any advise??????

Pull #6 glow plug and see if its broken. You will need a Craftsmen 8mm deep 1/4 drive to remove the glow plug. There is a TSB from Ford for this concern. TSB 12-11-11 6.7L diesel engine and built on or before 3/29/2011

had this once on a tow truck early build.seen them drop vlvs and make piston to head contact.not sure if u having this problem but seen this happen twice at our dealership.pull the glow plugs and see if any are broken if not u might want to pull the heads, then u can c if the vlvs are ok mght seem fine looking at them w the vlv covers off.but as soon as u take off the heads pieces of vlv material start to fall off.!!

165,000 is pretty impressive for a newer engine design. Makes me feel better about my new 2013.
